Manorina melanocephala
This native honeyeater is commonly called a Noisy Miner. Its call is "a loud 'pwee pwee pwee' and a piping 'pee pee pee' when alarmed" according to the Australian Museum's Bird Finder Fact Sheet. I shot this bird in a flowering gum growing in the grounds of the Museum. I once cleaned an oily penguin in the basement. My father worked there. He was a marine biologist.

We used to have a dog that went 'pee pee pee' when it was alarmed. Or startled. Or the doorbell rang.
I must now contemplate changing my blog name and/or persona to Oily Penguin.
I understand getting oil-fouled is not a good thing as far as a penguin is concerned; I just like the sound of it is all.
That's a beautiful bird. We have a variety of birds coming to our feeders, but nothing like that. We do have a young red-tailed hawl who sits on our deck railing (no other birds around when he's here).
Cleaning an oily penguin in the basement sounds like a cool experience. Well, not really- very sad, and bad for the penguin to be oily, but still...
I once raised ducks in a living-room fireplace and bathtub. Not quite the same, though.
That bird looks pretty good, fer just havin been shot.
People! People! "cleaned an oily penguin" is a euphemism for, as Cissy indicated, certain activities best done in a basement - mmm nice honeyeater though.
