bats
The wonderful writer Lionel Shriver has this to say about being 50 and menopausal:
"Already my opinions are obnoxious, belligerent and unapologetic. Dyspeptic, tactless and aggressively disrespectful of everything from the credulous liberalism of my upbringing to religion of every stripe, I figure I've got the makings of a fabulous old bat."

A.Man: How about my belfrey?
Malach: Me too.
Sistah Sara: We can be founding members with Lionel.
Hats for bats. Keep bats warm.
I love the outdoor cinema on Sydney Harbour in summer because (a) it's the movies, yay, and (b) I adore watching the bats fly close over my head for almost an hour in the gloaming (stiff neck at the end though).
Atlas: I'm getting a warm feeling.
Pil: Oh it is lovely. They come overhead from the Botanic Gardens to Rushcutters Bay at dusk.
I read too many vampire books as a kid. They scare me.
