Ipomoea violacea

In my previous post, the poor little daisy was swamped by sexual innuendo. As you are all aware, I don't hold with erotic shenanigans.

So lets put the unpleasantness behind us, and rest our eyes and minds on something innocent. Here is a lovely Morning Glory.

Leucantheum vulgare

I was a bit horrified by the sight of my aging neck in the previous photograph. I was slightly mollified when Michaelangelo Optica said he had to look at the photo several times, and still wasn't sure it was me.

So here is a fresh-as-a-daisy Leucantheum vulgare to cleanse our vision of the old and raddled with something young and dewy.

But, of course, flowers or people, we're all here so briefly.

You know I have a pash on our new Prime Minister (and his wife). Click the link to hear Kevin Rudd's first motion to the House.

Just what I needed after the long flight from Sydney - a burger at Walker's in Tribeca. The inimitable Barbie always knows just where to go.

Rockerfella's fennel

Barbie's parents took us to lunch at Blue Hill at Stone Barn, on the Rockefeller organic farm and "agricultural education centre" in New York state. All the food for the restaurant is raised and grown on the farm.

Here is a bit of fennel in one of the greenhouses. Good enough to eat.
