Down here, the thing I'm seeing everywhere is the wisteria! Such a new experience. Lots of magnolia of course, and now some jasmine, but the wisteria is so pretty, and reminds me of my mum. Maybe I'll plant a vine near my new studio...
mike: It would be my pleasure. The flowering gums are coming on, and my beloved jacaranda is about to go mad. While I prefer the cooler months, I do love the flora in Spring.
anaglyph: I've been noticing wisteria, particularly in the east around Bondi. It is such a delicate colour & I love a graceful vine. It would be a lovely tribute to plant one.
I took these photos with my Lumix camera. It has a Leica lens. Laika was the first dog in space. Dogs In Space is an Australian film made in 1986. My friend Fiona played Barbara the Socialist. Now my friend Miss Simons lives two doors from the house where Dogs In Space was shot in Melbourne. I just sold the Dogs In Space R-rated soundtrack LP on eBay for $26.

That picture makes me miss the southern United States ... how odd!
Way over here
Winter is near
Which puts me in a mood, soured
When the snow flies
Then all my plants die
In turn leaving me deflowered.
LOVE MAGNOLIAS!
sara sue: They love it in Sydney - it suits them.
Atlas: Oh poor petal.
malach: Just for you ...
Just keep those summer-y type pictures coming. It's getting colder here by the second!

If I had a daughter I had wanted to name her Magnolia. CockMaster said it sounded like a stripper's name.
cuntie: How does he feel about Charisma?
Magnolia hits it stride where I live right at my birthday in July. I love the scent.
Funny to see it in bloom now somewhere else on the globe.
Ah, magnolias,
oh so pretty.
They make me want
to rhyme and ditty!
Alas, at the sight of
that lovely flower,
blood rushed from my head
to somewhere lower-
'Bout that magnolia
I've just one beef-
it looks like a subject
from Georgia O'Keefe...
ps- there's some more poemin' for you an' Joey over at my place.
I'll scent your air, if you're not careful.
hereT: An extra birthday wish from me and the magnolias - think of it as a pleasant after-shock.
colonel: Any poem with Georgia O'Keefe in it is a good poem.
angry: Consider me careless.
Show me your stamen and I'll pistol whip it.
Atlas: I ask most stalkers to leaf me alone, but you are a different species altogether.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Mmm...nothing about me here either.
angrydad: oh, you're laughing now ...
ag; I have something special for you, but I needed to honour my dad first.
